On 6th December we hosted our first event, The Mother Hub Launch Party! A celebration of our #IAmAnEssexGirl campaign and an opportunity for our growing network of incredible women to get together.
With an inspiring panel, amazing goody bags, and of course our wonderful guests there are way too many highlights to mention! They say a picture paints a thousand words, so we'll let Kika Mitchell's wonderful photography do all the talking! If you couldn't make it this time, pop over to our events page to see what we have coming up in 2017!
Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks. Thank you to each and every person who has shown support for the Essex Girl campaign. Whether you have signed the petition, shared a photo or used the #IAmAnEssexGirl hashtag. We are just two women and a laptop, so the overwhelming response, both from social media and the press, is testament to the incredible support we have received from everyone along the way...
We first met Emma Odell, the brilliant co-owner of Acanteen in Chelmsford, when we were researching venues for our Mother Hub events. She is one of those truly impressive people, who oozes creativity, passion and drive. Emma kindly took some time to tell us more about how she made the journey from fine art to successfully running her own business empire!
Giovanna Fletcher is a best selling author, presenter, blogger/vlogger, columnist, mum of two and proud Essex girl. Between launching her new book, Happy Mum, Happy Baby, and her multitude of other commitments, she is one busy lady... we're so grateful that she made the time to answer a few of our questions here at The Mother Hub.
Emily Norris is a vlogger, marketeer and busy mum. We caught up with her at home Brentwood just two weeks after the birth of her third son, Jackson (what a cutie!) As a busy mother of three, Emily, has come a long way in the last two years. Her Youtube channel has grown to over fourteen thousand subscribers, she's joined the Channel Mum vlogging team and is fast becoming a favourite with brands who want to reach an audience of mums. Emily was also the first woman in the UK to live stream her labour on Facebook! If you'd like to find out more about the lady in front of the camera then read on.
